FTA satellite kit in Europe?
I won £ 45 in EuroMillions and want to buy a kit to receive satellite channels air for Freedom around the world (ideally, but only Europe would be great =]) and I have one in mind (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?moduleno=218642 – Grade Option B xD) Does anyone could give me an idea of the capabilities and limitations of this team and also with an open window and line of sight to the satellite, could Setting this cover up (You may even set, only mounted on a stable)?
You can adjust a dish anywhere provided it has a vision clear (not glass, etc) with the satellite. You can find the positions and signal strength of dozens of satellite maps on the web with a little imagination. You can not get a satellite signal Australia! Meter signal strength and compass would help if the dish is likely to move. As a small plate relative gain is likely to be small, only reliably picking up signals intended for their location.
