How I can get a video of my Motorola DCT3400 PVR to my PC?

I read the manual and did not explain much about how to remove videos to a PC or expand the capacity with an external hard drive. I have a 2 eSATA USB, Firewire and 2 x Serial and Ethernet connection. I have to free up some space but I will not delete nothing.

The Movie / TV Show Studios, and PVR hardware vendors are trying to stop the transfer of recordings from PVR to the PC. The cable company also play a role by disabling the features that should work to transfer files. All I can suggest is to look for free software downloads related online legal transfer or pvr pvr explorer type of program and continue trying the transfer through different methods by cable. Everything is a matter of trial and error until something works. Unfortunately, some permanently methods may void the warranty. If your cable company permits, external SATA is the better method but you'll need to record what happens on television again, this is the other side. I would be more help on this topic.
