I have to get rid of a high performance scanner.?

I have an HP Scanjet N9120 scanner. Its incredibly high performance scanner. His new and unused, but opened so I can not sell it on ebay and send it. It sells for $ 4000. I want about $ 1800. I need a way to get rid of him. Any ideas? Note: Pawnshops do not stop. I have tried to incorporate buyer on eBay. I've listed on craigslist. I need some new ideas.

What are opening have to do with not being able to sell on eBay? Sell it as new, in an open box. As simple as that.
