What is slower modem speed (baud rate) that a terminal service client can use to connect?
I'm trying to use Remote Desktop, Microsoft terminal client service through a dial-up connection. I can do with a 56K modem and 48K to connect to a landline phone to dial up Internet service .. Can this be done using a data link running over a satellite phone …. baud rate of just could be at 14.4K.
With the current version of Remote Desktop client, you need a connection speed of no less than a modem or V-34 on a minimum speed of 28K. With a team of data typical of a satellite phone, the best thing we do is 14.4K, which is not enough to push an RDC .. although pages take forever to even load web, your desktop client times out before it even has the ability to load.
