How I can program a "peanut" DirecTV TiVo remote?

I have the code, but do not know how to really get into my control remote. Television is LG and the remote control is a peanut-shaped TiVo for DirecTV device.

To program the remote to control your TV do the following: Go to Settings remote control. From TiVo Central, select Messages and Setup, then Settings, and then remote. Your TiVo remote can control the power and volume of the TV and A / V stereo. In addition, you can control the TV input button on some TVs. A / V Stereo: Press the VOLUME UP button and the volume on the remote to test the code. If you cycle through all the codes, the red LED turns off, indicating you 've tried all the codes.
