Is there such thing as a signal amplifier for digital TV?

I just bought a new digital TV, so there is no converter box and only one of the digital channels come in, the rest are just blank. I know it's because I live far from the transmitters in Chicago. Does anyone know if there is an amp you can use for a tv only?

What are you using for an antenna? Before buying any RF amplification should read articles by Peter Putman and check the reference AntennaWeb, which I've posted links below.
