Test how long my new leather jacket?

I just got a new leather jacket Croft and trolley Christmas and I'm nervous to let it get rained on. What should I do? Or is it already covered?

The best treatment for leather is mink oil, use it in my jacket bomber and it works great. If it is then brushed leather use a waterproofing spray Scotchguard type. There are several available on the market.
