My internet is slowered if I can use a crossover Ethernet cable Internet btwen divide my computer and xbox?

I know if my internet is if im slowered using an ethernet cable splitter to split the Internet beetween my computer and my box x to x box live, so you can use at the same time with a return to away matches.

The splitter does not slow down, everything depends on the bandwidth. If you have Internet turbo, then it is perfectly fine, but if you have the slower, then I not recommend it.
