Many signal loss connection of two pieces of coax?
I realize that the length of the cable does not affect the loss of signal, but that connect two coaxial cables to add a significant loss? I need to connect to my DVR for a high definition image. The rate cut the cable too morillo short and replace with a longer cable is not an option as the cable goes through my roof into my roof somewhere. Thanks, Howie M.
NO Cable Length affect the loss of signal, but only if we are talking about a lot of extra cable (50 feet). Add 3 to 6 feet there should be no difference. Sure use a good cable with good embedded in the ends (not the shit-it-with-no – screw tools for Firefox) and should be fine. Have a length of new cable and coaxial cable coupler as well. In the background, not so much by the loss of good labor couplers.
