Blu-Ray Streaming PC to HDTV?
I recently purchased a-> HDMI DVI connector to connect my PC to my HDTV. I hear Blu-Ray my PC to the TV. Is TV playback distort the quality at all due to a larger screen? The average bitrate for each file is about 5 to 10 megs and the quality of PC is impressive. Is it the same way on TV? What if I play a 1080p video on my PC and the TV is only 720p? If it's 1080p? The DVI-HDMI cable is very thick, with excellent shielding and received rave reviews. I'm just curious if TV viewing to be as stellar as the PC display.
In general, probably will be fine. if your TV is 1080p and less than 50 inches, should look good in everything. Nowhere as good as its much higher resolution and control much smaller, but not bad. if your TV is 720P, 720P, a Blu-Ray look good, 1080P Blu-Ray maybe not, depending on your video card, the quality of television and lots of other things. A 720P TV and a computer screen is horrible for anything other than watching movies, however. To get an idea, change the resolution on your PC monitor to 600 by 800, that's what your desktop looks like on a 720P. "Does the TV playback quality distortion at all due to a screen bigger? "Yes and no. You do not say what size or your resolution PC or HDTV monitor. The resolution is simply the number of pixels can turning on or off the screen has. To give a very simplistic analogy Take a few cents and organizing them look like a person. If you have 10 cents, you could make a stick figure. If you have a million pennies you could do the Mona Lisa. This leaves out, of course, the size of the pixels, contrast, color, and lots of other things that make the difference between a good show and a not so good. The point is, with an overall resolution (in this case, or 1080p or 720p) and everything else aside, the smaller the TV, the better the image is to see. You mentioned the DVI-HDMI cable. Hope you do not pay too much for him. In Overall, the absolute cheapest you can fine is going to give results as good as the more expensive you can find. Monoprice.com is a good place to get wires and stuff on. Good build quality and the cheapest I've seen. There are plenty of other places are also good, however. You should not have to pay more than $ 5 for an adapter or cable of this kind, unless your cable 30 feet or so.
