Where can I get among other things, the power cord to the old Dell Dimension 4700 Desktop?
I have an old Dell Dimension 4700 desktop and I have this power cord, but I think it goes to a monitor or other desk because when I turn on a red light that turns on a fan in the back. Does anyone think there is a problem with my power supply or I can buy a universal power cable for my computer at best buy or something.
It sounds like your power supply has a problem. 4700 must use a IEC standard (which can be harvested anywhere) that is shaped like a letter "D" with 3 holes in a triangle. If you are getting no response from your computer, then the cable is working. Another thing that can cause this problem is the motherboard battery deflated. I suggest you take it to your local repair shop.
