50 user office network. What I best network performance switch you recommend?
I have a network of 50 users that have multimedia applications heavy to be exchanged or worked on the network. I'm looking for an Ethernet switch with a real good high-performance processor and internal memory, etc, etc. What suggest? Thanks guys
I can not give an exact model, but I can say that Cisco makes some of the best. I have also heard good things about Juniper and equipment from 3Com, but I know for a fact that Cisco would have something to suit your needs, simply plan how exactly going to have your extended network (A single switch or multiple switches with one router). They also support VLANs is quite useful. Personally, my view is that once there are not enough ports in a Cisco switch, then there is not much to worry about not having enough processing power and memory.
