How do you connect five DIRECTV HD DVR receivers including one with 2 inputs?
I get the new style plate that covers all 5 satellites. I have an HDTV and will be Getting a New High Definition DVR for television and only four regular television receivers others in the house. What kind of multiswitch I can use, or what would be recommended for this setup? I think you need 2 lines running to the DVR and then the 4 additional lines to the other TV. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
I have not seen the new dish, so I dont know if you have 2 or 4 lines out of it, probably 4. DirecTV DVR has two tuners so you need a line to each tuner, and a line for each of the other four tuners, 6 lines in total. I suggest you get a multi-switch power with a line of 4 and 8 line out to your system, do not think 4 to 6 that is made. That is what I use, but with a multi-switch power cost about $ 125.00 and up depending on the brand.
