How I can replace the dimmer switch in my 2002 hedlight Monti Carlo SS. The high beams will not stay on.?
I think I need to replace The multi-functional switch (high / low beams, turn signal, wiper and washer lever) I have no idea how to do this. Do I have to remove the wheel? I found one on eBay, but have not yet acquired because they know what size will work? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I changed my multifunction switch on my 2003 Impala and I am sure they are quite similar. The cut pieces of plastic around the steering wheel are the only things that are removed. The hard part is the correct procedure for disconnecting the connection of the air bag under the dash above the brake / gas pedal in the area. I went and bought a alldata.com one-year subscription for my Impala.It was about $ 25. They give you step by step instructions on how to do, besides having access to a whole year to repair of his car. I spent $ 125 on eBay for switch plus $ 25 for Alldata. $ 150 total and made me work verses the lead to a Chevrolet dealership as my companion of work spent $ 700 to do it!
