LNB / LNBF what is it?
An LNB or LNBF is a critical component in common use satellite broadcasting systems such as DBS (Direct Broadcast Satellite) and TVRO (Television Receive Only). The "F" in LNBF refers to a low noise block (below) with an integrated feedhorn converter (Or LNB feedhorn ") assembly are commonly found in DBS antennas. Microwave (C and Ku band) communications signals, such as television and radio transmitting uplink stations in the Earth to the satellites in geostationary orbit (or in some cases Lowland) orbit. Each satellite transmitted then return to microwave signals over a wide geographical area of the terrestrial satellite dishes (Aka, satellite dishes) such as those are commonly seen in homes and businesses. These RF signals are picked up by low-power satellite dishes (aka, dishes), which are channeled through a LNB feedhorn located at the focus of the dish. The LNB amplifies and converts the microwave RF signals in a lower (ie, intermediate) frequency (or if) signals that are carried by coaxial cable to the satellite receiver.
