Thinking about changing ABT DirecTV to Dish Network. "I can use the same receiver / TiVos?
I have two Hughes TiVo that I love, both with dual inputs. Say DirecTV in them, but I think they are Hughes DVRs. Some person of record sales, said network requires the use of its own receiver / DRV. Someone knows the answer real?
They are not interchangeable. you need the Dish Network equipment. The 2 main reasons, in case you wondered why, are: Direct use a variant of the plate, while DirecTV uses MPEG2 MPEG2 directly protected by Videoguard, while the dish uses Nagravision
