Do you have HDMI digital video and digital audio at the same time, or need a digital audio cable separately?
To connect a player DVD digital you need two separate cables? For example, an HDMI cable for video and digital coaxial audio cable? So I get the full sound experience digital envelope by connecting a DVD player expansion (with HDMI) and High Definition DVR (also with HDMI) to my Denon AVR-588 receiver? Then use the HDMI receiver output to connect to the TV and use the receiver speaker terminals for the surround sound?
It depends on your devices, especially its receptor. And now I know that the receiver is Denon AVR-588 which supports HDMI pass through.It means you need to connect an optical or coaxial for DVD (any device) to the receiver for surround sound. HDMI audio and video is only on call receivers HDMI switching or HDMI repeater.
