DirecTV dish for FTA?
I have an old (2 years) DirecTV dish that is mounted outside with plenty of room for the replacement of money and wondering what I need (Or recommendations) for FTA programming. I would buy a servo to repoint the dish, you probably need a block of polarization (Horizontal / vertical switch) and the real receiver box. Ku band I'm looking at things, that the dish and LNB DirecTV should support. Can anyone offer recommendations and feasibility? Am thinking Pansat receiver for this setup, not sure which model, but sometimes end up buying a kit and only re-use mounting hardware and nothing else. Do I have to be concerned with PAL / SECAM / NTSC on my TV or receiver will do a conversion for me, or will be formatted video "universal" for MPEG2 / DVB? I do a lot more reading on my own, too.
