How I can connect a Phillips DVR704 Directv / Tivo to a phone or Internet to Setup?
How I can connect this type of DVR to the network for downloads, as the new independent non-TiVo? I have no home phone because the cell is much cheaper. I have a new DVR704 who says you need to make a call to download boot information. Thanks in advance ..
no, you need to be connected to a land line physics. The latest receivers (R15 and R16s when they leave) get satellite download because people are more likely to have cell phones. If the lack of discharge is causing problems, call DirecTV and see if you can replace it. May be a fee and commitment, but at least you have one that will get your downloads =)
