Can I use a DIRECTV receiver without DirecTV service?
I'm not trying to defraud the company or anything, just want to know if possible send the analog signal provides my cable through the wall in a DIRECTV receiver device and have left the HDMI output? I know some of the points the receiver is lost, as have the channel guide and stuff, and I understand that – I just want to know if this is possible.
No, satellite tv works entirely different frequencies and use different modulation techniques, are not compatible. Your best bet is to feed the analog cable directly into your TV and avoid other conversions.
