2 DVD recorders and HDTV in January?
Is there any way to connect 2-1 HDTV DVR? Now I'm using a DirecTV HR20 receiver but I would also like be able to use my Tivo 10-250 (Hughes) HD DVR. Is there any way to connect both the satellite signal in a way that would allow me to return to another, perhaps through my Denon receiver or something? I want to be able to use the extra recording capacity of both receptors, in addition to having the content stored in Tivo hard drive that I wish I could have access. Thank you.
You should be able to do this with a satellite multiplexer sold through many retailers. This structure is similar to a multi-configuration of the dish itself, except that the two receptors are in the same room. Then must change the video output from the top box-set of the TV, if you only have a compatible input (I'm assuming that component.) If your Denon receiver has a built in switch component video source, you can use that, otherwise you'll likely need a component video switcher, as well.
