Hello. My question is in relation to the type of coaxial cable that can be used to carry digital audio signals.?
Basically I'm building me a new house and the creation of two audio systems by two points of the house. I try to use digital audio outputs on the computer and some other sources, and I'm runnig cables to adapt. The distances are not large, probably 10-20 meters. It seems possible, and not economic to buy ready made coaxial digital audio cables adapt. Actually working in the surveillance industry and the use of a large number of coaxial cable for video signals RG59bu. It is more flexible than the standard used for RG6 TV transmission. "I can use this cable and gold plated RCA connectors form at each end? Is 75 ohms, which seems to be listed on all cable specifications ready done. Or is there a specific type I should use? Distances are also a problem? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks
I've done a bit structured cabling and use RG6, so the RG59bu should be OK, especially for short distances you're talking. Yes would buy prefabricated cables costly and probably of lower quality if good connectors. If desired, you can upgrade to Quad Shield RG6. It is more expensive but hey, one more thing to brag about. I would also like cat5e run a lot while it is trivial pain and you never know when they come in handy for the phone to be net, audio, video and even.
