Cisco Packet Tracer help …?
I have 1 x 2811 x router and 2 pc's on the network that are enabled, assign the pc with manual ip 10.0.0.10 (FastEthernet (Pc) to FastEthernet0 / 0 (router)) and 10.0.0.11 (FastEthernet (pc) for FastEthernet0 / 1) (router)) and connect the two pc to the router via a direct cable. so I try a ping from one pc to another pc and I get to ask what am I missing scheduled in the configuration?
What sets the subnet mask for the two teams? That is a class A IP you used for the subnet mask should be 255.0.0.0. But 255.255.255.0 work as well. If the subnet mask is too restrictive (such as 255.255.255.255), then the machines will not be able to see each other. The IP of the router or gateway located on the PC is not important for what you are doing.
