I am confused about pruning a knockout rose …?
Does not look like a regular rose bush after flowering is over, the bulb seems is another flower coming out behind it. Should I let it run its course? Flower continuously, but not if you do not know what you're doing.
as 're seeing behind the flower of age is not another outbreak, but "the seed", rosehip, plant ….. left alone, soon wither, dry and fall …. and that is one reason why knockouts continue to flourish …… who rose from the hip, other roses, it would signal the plant that it is time stop blooming ….. and that is why, in other types of rose, which is usual "free rider" or take a flower and spent a bit of stem length, to series of five or seven leaves …. Not having that rosehip plant signals that the plant should make another flower and seek to remain at the plant enough time to make those seeds !….. but to get, cut it off, and bloom again ….
