What diesel engine fit a 2003 ford ranger 4×4?
I'm converting my 2003 ranger to a diesel engine so it can then make modifications to run on vegetable oil. I'm hoping to find a diesel engine that will fall right in the new engine without any mounting brackets, adapters hood transmission, etc. I was told that a 2.2 Mazda diesel from the 80 may be the answer. Everything goes in a diesel engine '03 Ranger should be modified, if your engine mounts, or transsexual, or anything else. The only engines that can be exchanged for that year are the Explorer and Ranger series Mazda B and none of these are diesel engines, which means you will not find a direct drop in. Not only that, any vehicle that you get the engine diesel, you will need all the wiring and equipment of the same vehicle as well. It can be done, but that's a lot of work and will cost more than if you went and bought one old car with a diesel engine in it.
